1968
Three design entrepreneurs launched
RMM Incorporated.
1984
The founding members sold the company
to a number of employees who renamed the firm Avenue Group.
1986
PHH, Inc. bought nine premier interior design firms around
the country, including Chicago-based Avenue Group. The firm
assumed a new name: PHH Environments.
1991
Five employees bought the Chicago office
of PHH Environments and relabelled the firm one more time:
The Environments Group. The 39-person staff served mostly
Chicago-area clients.
Today
The Environments Group has more than 60 employees and serves
clients nationwide, with projects completed in more than
40 states. While most of the firm's work is produced from
its Chicago office, The Environments Group also has representatives
in California to serve clients on the west coast. The firm
is an industry leader in designing workplaces for today's
knowledge worker. |
